Flue Installation Cornwall
Our Flue Services

Designing and installing a flue system is a daunting prospect to the uninitiated. Fitting the flue for your stove will often involve some (minor) structural work to ensure the flue is fitted in the optimum configuration. If you are looking to get a stove as part of a renovation or refurbishment project, or you are getting an extension built, it is a good idea to get some advice during the planning stage. We are experienced at guiding our customers through the process of making a few minor amendments to the build at an early stage and not only saving a whole heap of work, but ending up with an incredibly efficient stove.

There are a number of different types of flue for stoves, which of these is right for you depends on several factors; the layout of your home, the fuel type of the stove, how much work you are willing to have done to your home as part of the installation and how much money you are willing to pay. These different flue designs will obviously have an aesthetic effect on the installation so if the look of the stove and flue as a whole are important to you, it is worth looking at existing stoves in similar settings to see how the final system looks.

Flue Design
Remember that stove flues come under building regulations, so there is a legislative angle to consider in the design of flues. We are HETAS registered (the solid fuel equivalent of CORGI for gas), so we have qualified installers who understand the right way to fit a flue, safely and securely. On a side note, you are seeking to get a stove for a summerhouse, workshop or home office (or any one of many types building commonly found in the typical large garden) there are different regulations. As long as it is not physically attached to a domestic dwelling the only regulation is that it must be shown to work and work safely.

The details of the flue design for your stove will be as individual as your home, however there are general types of installation which follow certain patterns.

For information on flue designs and to see which design will best suit your home and stove, please see the flue design section.
